"As a lifelong citizen of Virginia, and a business owner for more than 25 years, I have witnessed the diverse cycles of leadership in the Commonwealth. The current attitude toward providing adequate transportation funding demonstrated by many of our elected leaders prohibits Virginia from maintaining its status as a world-class economy and prominent 'destination' for new businesses, citizens and lifelong learning and enjoyment.

"Adequate transportation is vital to the quality of life of all Virginians. It is crucial for us, as a Commonwealth, to effectively maintain our stature as a world leader in commerce and to provide the necessary conduit for an ever-changing environment. It is a core responsibility of the government to provide multiple means of effective and efficient transportation for its citizens and the goods and services necessary to maintain a healthy economic climate."

Jeff and his wife, Ruby, have three children - Joey, Christy and Michelle.
